46th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

Are you new to Sofi Westview or considering moving here? Well, December is one of the best times of the year to experience the lifestyle properly while also getting into the holiday spirit! With so much to do in this great city, it's hard to decide what to do but luckily, we have the perfect activity for you.

One of the top holiday attractions that our residents simply love (we love it too) is the San Diego Bay Parade of light! Have you been? If not, it’s definitely worth the short drive to experience it. There are over 80 boats that participate in the event and its boats of all shapes and sizes trying to out-do each other with fun and innovative holiday decor.

The parade is this weekend, December 17th, 2017 and promptly begins at 5:00 p.m. The route starts at Shelter Island and goes past Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, head to Cesar Chavez Park and lastly at the Ferry Landing in Coronado. The theme is a Pirate's Christmas so it will definitely be interesting to see how all the participants will interpret the theme.

Talking about the event is fun and all, but nothing beats experiencing it in person! Make sure to attend this weekend and take in the beauty of the boats, lights and the city. Oh, and did we mention that it's free? Hope to see you there!
